Our Solar Solution

DESIGNED FOR A SOLID BUSINESS CASE

We design for each site by considering load factors, seasonality, growth potential, cost and reliability of existing power sources.

As a result, target projects are well-optimised between energy sources so that solar capacity is maximised, scalable, designed to allow for future energy storage capacity and benefits from net metering.

PERFORMANCE GUARANTEED

We offer comprehensive performance guarantees to underwrite the solar investment.

System availability and output are guaranteed, and components are provided under warranty.

FUNDING PACKAGE

The effective cost per kWh of solar power goes down with longer term funding. Given the lack of long-term debt in Zimbabwe, Cicada Solar has created an innovative funding vehicle.

Up to 8 year funding is available within the local regulatory requirements with competitive interest rates for credit-approved customers.

COMPETITIVE EPC PRICING

Our scale gives us significant purchasing power in solar equipment.

Cicada’s existing Zimbabwean footprint provides cost efficient administration and logistics.

Our Partnerships

The people at Cicada Solar have over 20 years of experience in developing renewable energy projects. We also partner with local and regional suppliers who provide access to cutting edge renewable energy technology. For example, Terra Firma Solutions, who is a leading SA-based solar engineering and installation firm, having built over 250 commercial projects with a total installed base of around 300MW.
